The systems Engineer, Datacenter Cloud Services (Hybrid Cloud & OS Services) is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining hybrid cloud datacenter infrastructure, including public and private clouds. The role involves providing expertise in cloud and operating systems platforms (e.g., Azure, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Windows, and Linux). The Systems Engineer collaborates with other technical teams to ensure reliable operations, resolve infrastructure issues, and drive the future strategy of the company’s hybrid cloud infrastructure. This position is part of the Global IT Infrastructure Services team and will support various cloud and on-premises systems across distributed environments.
Responsibilities:
1. Engineering and Operations (35%):
- Evaluate, plan, configure, and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure, including system upgrades, patching, and disaster recovery.
- Perform daily operations, including system monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Work with internal and external teams to achieve project goals.
2.Troubleshooting and Incident Management(20%):
- Respond to system incidents and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for off-hours support.
- Communicate progress and updates to management.
3. Architecture Standards and Strategy (15%):
- Serve as a technical expert in hybrid cloud platforms, ensuring alignment with best practices and strategic goals.
- Collaborate on technical designs, testing, and issue management for global infrastructure.
4. Design and Continuous Improvement(10%):
- Participate in design sessions and improve processes for cloud/on-prem infrastructure.
- Develop documentation for technical designs and operational procedures.
5. Documentation (10%):
- Create and maintain documentation for architecture, design, and testing.
6. Stakeholder and Vendor Management (10%):
- Develop relationships with stakeholders, internal teams, and external vendors to support hybrid-cloud environments.
