The Senior Systems Engineer, Datacenter Cloud Services (Hybrid Cloud & OS Services) is responsible for managing the design, implementation, and ongoing support of Kontoor’s hybrid cloud datacenter infrastructure, including both public and private clouds. This role provides deep technical expertise in cloud and operating systems platforms (e.g., Azure, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Windows Server, and Linux), ensuring high operational efficiency and solving complex technical challenges. As part of the Global IT Infrastructure Services team, the Senior Systems Engineer collaborates with other departments, oversees daily operations, and leads the technical strategy for cloud infrastructure services.

Responsibilities:
1. Engineering and Operations (35%):
- Design, deploy, and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure, handling system upgrades, patching, and disaster recovery.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including monitoring and troubleshooting of cloud and on-premises systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure project success and operational support.

2. Troubleshooting and Incident Response(20%):
- Lead the response to system issues and manage infrastructure changes.
- Participate in on-call rotations for off-hours support.
- Report progress and updates to IT management.

3. Architecture Standards and Strategy(15%):
- Act as a technical expert for cloud and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with company standards and best practices.
- Provide technical oversight for the design and implementation of hybrid-cloud solutions.

4. Design and Continuous Improvement(10%):
- Participate in design sessions and process improvements for cloud/on-prem infrastructure.
- Develop technical designs, prototypes, and testing procedures for systems deployment.

5. Documentation (10%):
- Create and maintain documentation for system architecture, design, and operational procedures.
- Prepare project documentation such as design specs, testing scripts, and system diagrams.

6. Stakeholder and Vendor Management (10%):
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, internal teams, and external vendors to support the hybrid-cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Experience: 10+ years in enterprise IT with a focus on hybrid cloud technologies, Linux (SUSE, RHEL), Microsoft Windows Server, virtualization (Nutanix, Hyper-V), SAN storage, and enterprise databases.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in automation tools (Azure DevOps, Puppet, Ansible), scripting (PowerShell, Python), networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS), and infrastructure orchestration.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Certifications in Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure and ITIL are preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, action-oriented, technically skilled, results-focused, and innovative in problem-solving.
