EDI Developer

As an EDI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing solutions for our EDI initiatives. You’ll collaborate with account management teams and IT project teams to implement EDI solutions for new clients and enhance existing ones. You’ll also work closely with internal operations, infrastructure, and support teams, taking ownership of critical issues and managing them through resolution.

Responsibilities:

• Solution Design and Development: Translate requirements into technical designs and develop comprehensive solutions to interface with client systems.
• Efficient Implementation: Design efficient, reusable technical solutions to meet the EDI needs of clients and business partners.
• Coding and Standards: Produce high-quality, efficient code based on design specifications, using X12 Standards, XML, AS2, (S)FTP, and related technologies.
• Issue Management: Minimize risks and maximize opportunities by communicating issues and resolutions to project stakeholders; escalate issues to leadership as needed.
• Production Support: Provide effective production support, collaborating with other functional teams as required.
• Continuous Improvement: Seek opportunities to improve development processes for the EDI platform by applying industry-standard and emerging practices.
• Internal Collaboration: Build and maintain strong working relationships with peer teams and business users.

Requirements:

• EDI Development Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with EDI technologies.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of AS2, XML, (S)FTP, and similar communication technologies.
• Experience with Integration Tools: Development and system administration experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and Gentran: Server for Windows.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology or a related field.
